Public Safety Communications

All Public Safety Communications in Butler County have been using VHF for over 50 years. In 2010 the county switched from VHF to an APCO-25 (Digital) 800 MHz Trunked Radio System called the Butler Regional Interoperable Communications System (BRICS). All Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS agencies are now using this system. This system has completed rebanding and you will need a digital scanner to monitor it.
