There are at least four VHF high band channels commonly use for truck-to-truck talkaround, at construction sites, snow removal, flaggers directing traffic, etc.

These channels are licensed for use statewide and there may be other frequencies used in some areas (see license links at the bottom of this page). The channels used in a particular area or district may vary because there are TxDOT repeaters and other licensed users on these frequencies in some areas. In the past these have been CSQ (no tone) but in the past few years (since around 2010) PL tones and DPL codes have been observed in some areas.
