Fire/EMS

All county fire departments except for the Lancaster and Violet Township fire departments are dispatched by the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office. Lancaster is dispatched by the Lancaster Police Department. Violet Township is dispatched by the Metropolitan Emergency Communications Center on the Franklin County public safety trunked system.

Fairfield & Licking counties use a different 2nd tone set when activating pagers for Millersport Fire to allow users to know which dispatch center paged out the run; additionally, the 2nd tone set also is used as a "time delay" to allow the local repeater to keyup before the 3rd tone set is paged out. The rebroadcast is aired on the county EMS frequency WITHOUT a PL tone and is only heard locally around the millersport area due to the repeater being low profile and on low power
