Scanner/Receiver Software for Non Windows OS


This article lists various software packages for scanners and receivers for non-Windows OS. Also see the Hamsoft Rig Control website for additional entries. This article will also document which OS can run Windows programs in a seperate environment. Programs shown in bold are freeware.

[edit] Running Windows Programs in Other Environments

  • Some programs can execute in Linux under WINE. These include:
  • Under the Macs, some programs evidently work using Windows emulators. The BuTel programs seem to be mentioned most often as having this capability.
  • There is a report that Win96 runs under Parallels on Macs, using Windows XP
