Primary Fire Dispositions (Must use one of these)

F33 FALSE ALARM ACTIVATION - UNKNOWN CAUSE An alarm was activated and the cause was not determined. ** Chargeable incident in the false alarm ordinance.

F34 FALSE ALARM ACTIVATION - EQUIPMENT MALFUNCTION Alarm was activated by faulty detector (fire, heat, smoke, water-flow, etc.) ** Chargeable incident in the false alarm ordinance.

F35 FALSE ALARM ACTIVATION - USER FAULT Alarm was activated by a user, or due to a user's fault - with no valid purpose. This includes the activation of pull stations. ** Chargeable incident in the false alarm ordinance.

F40 FALSE ALARM ACTIVATION - WEATHER / OTHER UNCONTROLLED EVENT Alarm activation was caused by a weather related event, or another event that could not be controlled by the alarm user. ** Not a chargeable incident in the false alarm ordinance.

F42 CALL COMPLETE - HANDLED BY AGENCY PERSONNEL The incident was handled by the responding units of this agency.

F43 CALL COMPLETE - HANDLED BY OTHER AGENCY OR DEPARTMENT The incident was handled by the responding units of another department or agency. This disposition is applicable to alarm incidents when this unit does not know, or is not responsible for the overall incident disposition.

F44 VALID ALARM ACTIVATION - (SMOKE, FIRE, HEAT OR WATER-FLOW PRESENT) Alarm activation was caused by a valid event. ** Not a chargeable incident in the false alarm ordinance.

F47 FALSE CALL It was determined that the reported incident or condition did not occur. ** This is not a valid disposition for an alarm incident.

F49 CALL CANCELLED BEFORE ARRIVAL OF ANY UNITS ON-SCENE Responding units were cancelled by the originating source before any unit arrived on scene. This disposition should be used even if a unit continues to respond after cancelled. ** Not a chargeable incident in the false alarm ordinance.

F94 CANCELLED BY OTHER EMERGENCY SERVICE UNITS ON-SCENE This unit was cancelled by another unit on the scene, whether it be a unit from the same agency or another (EMS or law enforcement cancels fire department).

NR NO RESPONSE This disposition is assigned by the dispatcher if units from the dispatched agency does not respond.

TEST TEST INCIDENT (INCLUDES PLANNED FIRE ALARM TESTS) This disposition is most often used internally by dispatch staff, but may also be used for events created for fire alarm tests when fire department personnel are on-scene for the test.

CLEAR INCIDENT CLEARED WITHOUT UNIT DISPATCH This disposition is only used by dispatch staff if an incident is cancelled or otherwise cleared before any units are dispatched.

Secondary Fire Dispositions (Must use one of these on alarm calls)

KP KEY-HOLDER PRESENT A key-holder or representative of the location was present with on-scene units, or contact was made so that a key-holder or representative was aware of this response.

KN KEY-HOLDER NOT PRESENT A key-holder or representative of the location was NOT present with on-scene units. (A notification of the response should be left on the premise).
