A true gem, unfortunately out of production for years. One of the last radios to still include the cellular frequencies, though all you will hear for the most part are digital signals. A word to the wise...it's a scanner of sorts, but not like a scanner most are used to. You can either scan one bank or all at once. It has a neat search and store feature. All mode receiver, AM/FM/WFM/USB/LSB. This radio pulls them out of the noise. MUST be used with a good antenna and 9913 or better coax.

I also have a rare 7100 unblocked- i got the last one hro in NH had... the only negative i have is that it definitely is not a scanner, compared to uniden/GRE offerings...just program in 800MHz freqs along with 400MHz and just listen to the band switching relays go clickety clackety ...clickety clackety....all nite and you'll jump for the manual button in a moment...but the beast is built to withstand a nuke attack.

I have a 7100 and the more I use it through the year the more I'm impressed with it. It's too bad that Icom didn't carry the same scanning features (ie window scan, memory ID numbers) for the pcr1000 and r100 mobile radio.
