[edit] Policing

Policing for the Township of Oro-Medonte is provided by the Ontario Provincial Police's Nottawasaga detachment. Communications are on the Barrie 1OPS30 talkgroup and the units identify themselves with 1Bravo callsigns. The 1OPS30 talkgroup is usually patched with the Southern Georgian Bay 1OPS35 talkgroup. Unfortunately, no BEAT repeaters exist within this or Southern Georgian Bay's area so listeners with analog scanners will have to try and catch one of the vehicular repeater (VR) frequencies.

The Township of Oro-Medonte Fire Service is dispatched by the City of Barrie Fire Service on a conventional vhf simulcast repeater system. Repeater locations are at Edgar and Hawkestone.
