The SERAM is the Système Évolue de Radiocommunication de l'Île de Montréal (Montreal Island Advanced Communications System).
It is used by Montreal Police Department (SPVM), Montreal Fire Department (SIM), public works and public security.
The system is splitted into 4 sites: sécurité publique (001), travaux publics (002), Aéroport Pierre-Elliott Trudeau (014) and Métro de Montréal (015).
Montreal Police and Montreal Fire operate exclusively on site 1 (except ADS & ADS Sup which are on site 1).
Site 2 communications are primarily public works and public security.
Some talkgroups of the SPVM are relayed on site 15.
OPS 8 channel is commonly used as an interoperability channel (between SIM, SSIAL and tunnel firefighters) for LHL tunnel interventions. Some neighboring fire departments have access to the system for interoperability.
