Custer County Radio Guide
Custer County mainly uses county owned analog repeaters for law, fire, and EMS. Custer County does also use South Dakota State Digital System as well, but due to their rocky terrain they are unable to use portables in many areas. Custer County is dispatched out of the Custer Sheriff's Office under the call sign 21-1.
Custer County Law
Custer SO mainly uses Custer SO Cicero and Custer SO Bear Mtn for their dispatching. Custer SO Does also use TG 20592 for dispatching, but only as a secondary dispatch channel. Custer State Park also lies within Custer County. Custer State park is patrolled by state game wardens as well as conservation officers. The wardens and conservations officers use either the analog Custer SO channels, or the CSP law channels, all listed below. Listed Below as well is the TG for the local Highway Patrol troop.

Custer State Park
Custer State Park is the crown jewel of South Dakota. As state above, Custer State Park is patrolled by state conservation officers and game wardens. They use the state digital system for communication as well as the Custer County SO channels. Custer State park also has a large fire protection division. CSP Fire units use the digital channels listed below, or the National Forest Service Fire analog channels listed in that respective section.

Black Hills National Forest Fire
The black hills operates a network of analog forest fire repeaters. They also use some talk groups on the state digital system. All fire units are dispatched by Great Plains Fire Dispatch based out of the Mistic Ranger office in Rapid City, See table below
