(Ex. 100 is station 100 - Danville VFD) The 2nd number in the 3 digit unit number we use is to classify if you are a fire fighter or an apparatus. (Ex. 621 is a firefighter. 656 is an engine.) All 2nd numbers from: 0-49 Fire Fighters 50-59 Engines 60-69 Tankers 70-79 Squads 80-89 Rescues 90-99 Ladders The 3rd number actually has no meaning at all. Some will say that is does but as a county whole it has no meaning at all.
