County Police - Codes / Signals
As of July 11, 2016, MCSO is using "plain language" during transmissions instead of signals/codes. This is to comply with "NIMS" (National Incident Management System, Multi Agency). Since everyone's "codes" are different among agencies, changing to "plain language" will eliminate misinterpreted codes during Multi Agency Events. The codes will be intermittently heard while units are adapting to not using them.

County Police - Unit Numbers
As of September 19, 2016, MCSO started converting to the Austintown/Boardman P25 Digital System. West traffic will be handled by Austintown Dispatchers, East traffic will be handles by Boardman Dispatchers, unknown who will do the county units. Unit numbering is also changing. As departments convert, units will have both radios, but primary traffic will be P25 once converted. ID's are not yet in database as they are still being assigned. (Known planned (supposedly no encryption): East Channel, West Channel, County Unit Channel...East & West are active)
