ALBANY COUNTY FIRE APPARATUS
This is the official countywide numbering system. Different number systems are used by each dispatch center. Each department's local dispatch center and number is in parentheses. Albany County Sheriff Call Signs
To complicate a call sign system that can only be described as "a mess": As the department transitions from 3 digits to 4 digits current/former 3 digit units will begin to identify with a preceding "3", this is especially true for patrol supervisors. Some units belonging to the Fire Coordinator's Office will use a "4" instead. This is also the case for some Emergency Management units which can't seem to figure out how they want to identify (i.e. the conflict between "3712" and "4950" [confirmed as an Emergency Management unit, not Fire Coordinator's office]).

Note 1: 100 is the Sheriff's pickup, but it has been recently wrapped in a autism awareness wrap and is being used as an autism awareness car. Seems it's no longer being used by the Sheriff (speculating he's identifying as "901").
Note 2: Formerly an E-One pumper, likely intended to be used in an awareness campaign and never saw service.
