The Texas Forest Service was created in 1915, as a service within Texas A&M University, that will "assume direction of all forest interests and all matters pertaining to forestry within the jurisdiction of the state."

  • A Lubbock County repeater 155.805 (unknonw tone) for is being used for TFS regional dispatch in Lubbock.

Air-to-Air Frequencies

  • TFS changes their AM aircraft band air-to-air frequency plan periodically. The frequencies from old air-to-air zone maps are listed below.
  • The current frequency list and zone map is TFS Air-to-Air Frequency Plan and Zone Map 03/23/2011
  • At times when there are multiple aircraft working multiple fires in close proximity, alternate frequencies may be ordered to prevent interference to the other operations. The alternate frequencies listed below were used in the past and may or may not be used again in the future.
