The 127th Wing of the Michigan Air National Guard currently consists of the 171st Air Refueling Squadron (formerly the 171st Airlift Squadron). The unit currently flies twelve KC-135R tanker aircraft. The 127th Wing lost the 107th Fighter Squadron which operated eighteen F-16C/Ds in 2008. Soon the unit will fly A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft.
