AFRRCS Sites
Sites on Wheels or SOWs are trailer-mounted trunk system sites with tilt-up extendable antennas, electric generators, and a full "shack" of radio equipment like any other trunk site, including a patch panel which could link the system to another radio network (bringing the other network's comms onto AFRRCS into a new talkgroup). They can be pulled by truck and established anywhere in the province as necessary, connected to the main network by satellite links.
The intent once the system is live is that one SOW will be situated in each of the two major cities in Alberta (Edmonton and Calgary) but while testing is ongoing, either or both trailers could show up anywhere and/or together at the same location.
As of July 2013, the two sites are both running the apparent "default" band plan of 769.08125/0.0125/30.
