Severe Weather/SKYWARN Operations

Central Ohio

In Central Ohio, Franklin and surrounding counties are served by the Central Ohio Severe Weather Network (COSWN) using the Central Ohio Radio Club wide area repeater on 146.760/146.160 with PL tone 123.0 full time. If the 146.760 repeater is not functioning, the back up is the CORC 146.970 repeater.

Southwest Ohio

In Southwestern Ohio the counties of Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren are served by the Cincinnati area Weather Amateur Radio Network (WARN) using the Cincinnati FM Club wide area repeater on 146.880/146.280 and transmits a tone of 100.0 PL while the net is active, input is carrier squelch (CSQ) Normal repeater operations transmits and receives a tone of 123.0 PL. Should the 146.880 machine be unavailable, the back up repeater is the Cincinnati Repeater Association's 147.090/147.690 repeater using a 123.0 PL.
