The CB service is mainly used by professional over the road truck drivers for comunications purposes such as road and travel conditions, along with directions/instructions and road to warehouse communications.
Additionally, CB has become an undisciplined "wasteland" of illegal operation. Most of the general public has moved to FRS or GMRS to avoid the abuse on CB. Many do not consider CB a reliable communications option.
CB is rapidly becoming known as "Childrens Band" because of the abuse as well.
