Clinton County Government

Clinton County Sheriff's Department

Utilizes a VHF radio system with analog repeaters in Cameron (North Repeater), Plattsburg (South Repeater) and Gower (Gower Repeater). There is a a remote receive site located in Lathrop with a voting comparator which is UHF linked to the Plattsburg repeater. The city of Holt owns a repeater on the same frequency pair located in Holt (Holt Repeater) which is used as a part of this system. All agencies dispatched by Clinton County narrowbanded in 2011.

Sheriff's vehicles are equipped with UHF extenders.

Clinton County Road and Bridge Department

Clinton County's Road and Bridge Department utilizes a UHF radio system with one analog repeater located East of Plattsburg at the Road and Bridge facility.

Clinton County Emergency Management Agency

Emergency Management personnel utilize the Sheriff's Department radio system, as well as the systems used by EMS and Fire personnel within the county.

Fire Protection Districts

Holt Fire Protection District

Provides fire protection and ALS ambulance service to Southeast and South-central Clinton County. The district utilizes a VHF radio system with one analog repeater located in Holt, MO. The district is dispatched by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department.

Plattsburg Fire Protection District

Provides the City of Plattsburg as well as a large area surrounding the city with fire protection and medical first responder services. The district operates one station located in Plattsburg, and is dispatched via the Tri-County Ambulance District Radio System by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department.

Lathrop Fire Protection District

Serves the city of Lathrop and village of Turney, as well as the rural areas surrounding these towns with fire protection and medical first responder services. The district owns two stations located in Lathrop and Turney. The distict is dispatched via the Tri-County Ambulance radio system by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department. The district utilizes a VHF radio system for fire ground operations with an analog repeater located just south of Lathrop.

Cameron Fire Department

Provides fire protection services to the City of Cameron, and provides services to properties located within the Cameron Fire Protection District. The department is a City agency, and provides services to the Rural Fire District via contract. The Fire Department is dispatched by the Cameron Police Department Communications Center via the Fire Department's VHF analog system. The department operates one VHF analog simplex frequency located in Cameron.

Gower Fire Protection District

Provides fire protection and medical first responder services to the City of Gower and rural areas surrounding. The district includes part of Clinton and Buchanan counties. The district owns one station located in Gower, and is dispatched by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department via the Tri-County Ambulance radio system.

Law Enforcement

Holt Police Department

Provides part-time police services within the City limits of Holt in Clinton and Clay Counties. Dispatch is provided by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department.

Plattsburg Police Department

Provides full-time police services within the city limits of Plattsburg. Dispatch is provided by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department via the county's analog VHF repeater system.

Lathrop Police Department

Provides full-time police services within the city limits of Lathrop. Dispatch is provided by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department via the county VHF analog repeater system.

Cameron Police Department

Provides full-time police services within the City limits of Cameron, and on City properties in Dekalb and Clinton Counties (City properties outside of the City limits include the municipal airport, as well as a reservoir system Northwest of the City in Dekalb County). Dispatch is provided by the Cameron Police Department Communications Center via the Police Department's VHF analog system. The department operates on VHF analog simplex frequency located at the public safety building, with two remote receive sites.

Gower Police Department

Provides part-time police services within the city limits of Gower. Dispatch is provided by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department via the county's analog VHF repeater system.

Trimble Police Department

Provides part-time police services within the city limits of Trimble. Dispatch is provided by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department via the county's analog VHF repeater system.
