LIVINGSTON COUNTY (NY) FIRE & EMS

Fire & EMS share a dispatch channel (46.16)

Livingston County is divided into 6 battalions. Each department has a number assigned within its battalion. These battalion and department numbers are used in unit numbering.

The Chief of each fire department uses a two digit unit number consisting of their battalion number followed by their department number. There are no battalion chiefs. All other apparatus uses either a three or four digit unit number. Apparatus will often include their department name and apparatus type as a prefix when identifying.
