The State of Maryland appears to have coordinated the implementation of new and upgrading trunked radio systems (especially Project 25 systems) to maintain seamless overlap in talkgroup and 7-digit radio ID numbering. This theoretically allows any talkgroup from a P25 system in Maryland to be patched onto any other P25 system in the state, and for any radio from a Maryland P25 system or coordinated county to talk on any other P25 system without fear of radio ID or talkgroup conflict.
This article serves as a benchmark for identifying new talkgroups and radio IDs based on the current sets in place.
