MiWay (formerly Mississauga Transit)

MiWay is the city of Mississauga, Ontario's public transportation operation.

The city's Transportation and Works department is in charge of its operation. MiWay only operates buses, but as part of the Greater Toronto Area, is connected to commuter rail with GO Transit. The system also connects with Brampton Transit to the north, Oakville Transit to the west, and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to the east, including the Islington and Kipling subway stations on the Bloor-Danforth line.

Since October 4, 2010, new, blue express buses with the new MiWay identity began serving passengers travelling on current express routes serving Islington Subway Station, Westwood Mall, Meadowvale Town Centre, City Centre Transit Terminal, Clarkson GO Station, University of Toronto Mississauga campus and the Airport Corporate Centre.

Customers can choose from two types of service - MiExpress for express travel on blue buses and MiLocal for local travel on orange buses.

Bus rapid transit (BRT) This line will be built alongside Highway 403, which passes through the City Centre. It will connect to Toronto and Pearson Airport at its terminus point, Renforth Drive. Completion of the BRT route is expected to take place in 2012. GO Transit will also be using the BRT roadway for its BRT plan

This is the main bus station which is situated on the north side of Square One Shopping Centre. GO Transit's Square One Bus Terminal is directly north across Rathburn on Station Gate Road.
