  • Code 2 – Out of service but available for second alarms (e.g. If there is an alarm in their area the 1st alarm is dispatched to another vehicle but they will be dispatched if a second alarm comes in)
  • Code 3 – No lights or siren response, obeying all traffic signals to a call that poses no threat to life or property (e.g. open burn)
  • Code 4 – Lights and siren (Response to a call that possibly poses a threat to life or property)
  • Code 5 – completely out of service (e.g. Training, apparatus not functioning, vehicle is short staffed)

    • Note: Rescue 6 is a Engine/Rescue run as a rescue unit because the quint in the station is run as an engine. The truck itself is no different from Engines 5,11,12 and 13. Up until recently the department ran two heavy rescue units which is where the name comes from.
