News Update and Long-term System Plans

From a meeting in Oneida with Onondaga & Madison counties, the following was noted about their respective systems:

  • February 2nd - Syracuse PD goes live on Onondaga Co system
  • Approx one month later Onondaga Co law enforcement agencies go live on the system
  • After law enforcement, remaining users (Fire, EMS, DPW, etc.) will go live
  • Day to day dispatching operations will not be encrypted, but special ops channels will be.
  • Madison Co is likely a year away from building out the system, Oswego Co 18 months out
