Most of Alberta is served by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) K Division (AB). K Division headquarters is located in Edmonton.
There are 5 cities that have their own independent police services in the province:
- Camrose Police Service
- Calgary Police Service
- Edmonton Police Service
- Lacombe Police Service
- Lethbridge Police Service
- Medicine Hat Police Service
There are also four First Nations police agencies in Alberta as well:
- Blood Tribe Police Service (Standoff, AB)
- Lakeshore Regional Police Service (Peace River, AB)
- North Peace Tribal Police Services (Fort Vermillion, AB)
- Tsuu T'ina Nation Police Service (Tsuu T'ina, AB)
