Most of Alberta is served by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) K Division (AB). K Division headquarters is located in Edmonton.

There are 5 cities that have their own independent police services in the province:

  • Camrose Police Service
  • Calgary Police Service
  • Edmonton Police Service
  • Lacombe Police Service
  • Lethbridge Police Service
  • Medicine Hat Police Service

There are also four First Nations police agencies in Alberta as well:

  • Blood Tribe Police Service (Standoff, AB)
  • Lakeshore Regional Police Service (Peace River, AB)
  • North Peace Tribal Police Services (Fort Vermillion, AB)
  • Tsuu T'ina Nation Police Service (Tsuu T'ina, AB)
