The 127th Wing of the Michigan Air National Guard consists of the 107th Fighter Squadron (the "Red Devils") and the 171st Airlift Squadron (the "Michigan Six Pack") at Selfridge Air National Guard Base. The 107th currently flies the F-16 and the 171st flies the C-130.  By 2009 both units will be retired.

The 127th Wing of the Michigan Air National Guard currently consists of the 171st Air Refueling Squadron (formerly the 171st Airlift Squadron). The unit currently flies twelve KC-135R tanker aircraft. The 127th Wing lost the 107th Fighter Squadron which operated eighteen F-16C/Ds in 2008. Now the unit flys A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft.
