Overview

This page consolidates a listing of ALE Networks that are active on HF Radio. For an overview of ALE, of course see the ALE page. Also see the Utility Monitoring Central Networks website for more information.

ALE Networks can be tracked and monitored using the PC-ALE application, among several others.

CBP / DHS COTHEN Network

All Frequencies USB. This ALE network is very busy with CBP, US Coast Guard, and other units that are part of the US Dept of Homeland Security. The US Coast Guard is starting to use this network as a primary flight following mechanism for helos and aircraft, so you will hear lots of position and operations reports on the network. CBP Interceptor Aircraft and P-3 AWACS aircraft also use the network, however most comms are in PARKHILL encryption (sounds like Donald Duck).
