The [[Alabama (US)|Alabama]] Forestry Commission operates a statewide analog VHF radio system that it's personnel use for routine communications, fire prevention, and suppression operations. The system consists of one or two repeaters located in each county, which are linked back to Montgomery Central Dispatch via control stations located on Alabama Public Television towers. AFC divides the state into six regions: North, Northwest, Northeast, East Central, Southwest and Southeast. All regions except East Central and Southeast have two communications zones that share the same frequencies and repeater output DPL. Each repeater has a different input DPL.

The Alabama Forestry Commission operates a statewide analog VHF radio system that it's personnel use for routine communications, fire prevention, and suppression operations. The system consists of one or two repeaters located in each county, which are linked back to Montgomery Central Dispatch via control stations located on Alabama Public Television towers. The system is completely narrowband (2.5 kHz deviation), and uses DPL (DCS) exclusively.
