The radio system provides mobile coverage over 90% of the 220,000 square mile area. The system installation was started in 1992 and has grown to over 320 EDACS sites, 35 virtual sites, 13 multisite controllers and two stargates. Ten thousand users operate on the system and half of them utilize EDACS mobile data. Mobile data is currently used for Distribution Work Management, SCADA and AVL applications."
