Barrhead County is a region of north-central Alberta, just northwest of the city of Edmonton. It is bordered by Woodlands County and the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River to the north; Lac Ste Anne County to the west; Sturgeon County to the south; and Westlock County to the east.
