Public Safety Communications

All Public Safety Communications in Butler County have been using VHF for over 50 years. In 2009 they are switching from VHF over to an APCO-25 (Digital) 800 MHz Trunked Radio System called the Butler Regional Interoperable Communications System (BRICS). All Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS agencies will be using this system. This system has completed rebanding and you will need a digital scanner to monitor it.
