General Info

CN is the largest railway in Canada and is currently Canada's only transcontinental railway company, spanning Canada from the Atlantic coast in Nova Scotia to the Pacific coast in British Columbia.

Almost all scanners on the market can receive the railroad band, some have search bands dedicated to the railroad monitoring and will identify frequency by it's AAR channel number.

Active Hump Yards

The MacMillan Yard is the largest rail classification yard in Canada. It is operated by Canadian National Railway (CN) and is located 20 kilometers north of downtown Toronto in Vaughan, Ontario. MacMillan Yard is located at the junction of the CN York Subdivision and CN Halton Subdivision. The yard measures 4 kilometres in length and 1 kilometre in width with a north-south orientation.
