Trunking Information

Welcome to the Trunking Information category. This area should be used to store information on on new or unknown trunk systems, or research on trunked systems (such as identifying talkgroups or users) that is not yet ready to be posted to the database.

An easy way to see if the data you have belongs here is to ask 3 simple questions;

• Is the information critical to someone being able to trunk track this system? -or-
• Does this information have to do with undocumented talkgroups? -or-
• Is it news about a new system about to be constructed or put on the air?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then it belongs in this category. This specifically excludes Radio IDs (RIDs) or Unit IDs (UIDs). The RID UID Lists category is specifically reserved for that data.

If this information is needed for successful trunking, at some point such data should be sent to the appropriate DBA for inclusion in the database. News items should never be sent to the database.
