CHARLES COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY RADIO SYSTEM

Charles County Public Safety is a Rebanded 800 MHz System Motorola Type II(2)
with Digital Audio & Moto ID's, to use a scanner to listen you will need
several of the setting displayed in this page. All regular TGID's are displayed
on the regular RRDB, this page list the Motorola ID's and Channels. Currently there
is no way or any legal way to decrypt their encrypted ;communications, all other
communications are in the free and clear. If you program or download the Encrypted
channels you will either slow the scanner down with an additional TGID that's
unnecessary, or hear a digitally encrypted audio signal, or your scanner may mute the
digitally scrambled audio altogether, unless you are recording hoping to decrypt the
communications in another 10-20 years, it is virtually pointless to even enter them
in even a Motorola handheld or base unit without the proper "KEY" cannot decipher the
Encrypted communications. Digital End codes is not used, AGC setting on Digital and
Analog make motor-boating a prevalent issue.

Scanners Band Plans Settings

SCANNER BAND PLAN SETTINGS on some model have to be set-up to receive transmissions, since the 800mhz frequencies were rebanded in 2012, without the Band Plan set correctly then some scanners will no long understand where the channels(Motorola/TGID's) are since they moved from frequency range of 861mhz-868mhz down to the 851mhz range.

capability for Digital Audio, as well as capable of being Rebanded, Radio Shack
scanners are either GRE / Whistler or Uniden Based Products, check with their respective wiki pages.
