Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (CHO) Communities

The Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (CHO) serves as a regional airport for Charlottesville City, Albemarle County, the University of Virginia (UVA), and many surrounding counties. The airport is located on Bowen Loop, west of US Route 29, in the northern part of Albemarle County. The CHO police, CHO fire/rescue, TSA, and other CHO units primarily use the Charlottesville/Albemarle Trunked Radio System.
