Citizens Band, or CB, is a low-power (maximum 4 W AM or 12 W PEP SSB), unlicensed personal radio service regulated under Part 95 of the FCC rules.

The CB serivce is primarily used by professional truck drivers for comunications purposes such as road and travel conditions, and road to warehouse communications.

Additionally, CB has become an undisciplined "wasteland" of illegal operation. Most of the general public has moved to FRS or GMRS to avoid the abuse on CB. Many do not consider CB a reliable communications option.
