Ball State University is located in Muncie and has a student population of approximately 18,000.

The following agencies use Project Hoosier SAFE-T for all communications:

  • Muncie Police Department
  • Muncie Fire Department
  • Ball State University Police Department

Other law enforcement agencies are dispatched by the Sheriff's Department, and use VHF for almost all traffic. Some traffic can be heard on SAFE-T, however.
