MSP and County Trunks

MSP has been allocated portables (and in some cases mobile units) to communicate with the trunk system in the area they serve. Typically these will be used unless the unit is out of range of the trunk or in a bad coverage zone, in which case they will revert to their standard loband frequency (or sometimes Nextel). Traffic is often echoed from loband.

Notes
  1. = Uses Phase II system. See this page for a list of compatible scanners
  2. = Patched into the Upper Maryland Eastern Shore Consortium and the Dorchester County trunks
  3. = Uses FiRST, which is Phase II. Please see the Maryland State Police and the FiRST Migration article for talkgroups.
  4. = Patched into the Upper Maryland Eastern Shore Consortium trunk
  5. = Now using CMARC, which uses Phase 1
