Severe weather warnings and activation of severe weather sirens is done through a set of eight (8) two-tone alerts on the 154.1300 Mhz Fire Dispatch frequency, followed by Group Calls for County Fire and County EMS. Activation is done by County E911 dispatch.

County EMA utilizes cellular services for text notification of weather alerts, in conjunction with local Skywarn operations on the KB9LHX 2-Meter Repeater in Jasper on 147.195 Mhz (PL=107.2) and N9MZF 70-CM Repeater in Jasper on 444.675 Mhz (PL=107.2).
