(Note: some data - including callsigns - comes from fcc.gov/uls. Some frequency assignment information found there has been determined to be inaccurate. [http://caprad.org/caprad/f_main.Public700?p_cOpt=1 CAPRAD] (click on the "Vistor" link on the right side of the page) has proven to be more accurate when it comes to frequency assignments to various Counties. Of course, the true test/confirmation is done by running a tool like Pro96Com or Unitrunker to check an active control channel frequency).

MdTA Nice and ICC detachments are operating on their respective local county trunked systems. They will be patched to their assigned talkgroups on FiRST, but only if and when a FiRST native user monitors those talkgroups. This will remain in effect until Phase 3 of FiRST comes online covering metropolitan Maryland.

==Unit Ids==

Activity on various systems including Maryland FiRST (Prince George, Baltimore County, and CMARC) suggest that statewide radio ids appear to be assigned in blocks going (mostly) alphabetically.

* 123xxxx believed to be Federal / possibly DHS / these IDs appear be now use TGIDs 8126, 8127, and 8128 as of early May 2013 - sometimes in the clear but mostly encrypted / callsigns of the users have also been heard on FPS Balt 1 (410.8Mhz)

* 2154xxx (TG 7851/2 - 13 June 2013 - users? testing in the Annapolis/Rt 50 area)

State assets look like 211 and may go all the way to 220 or 221.... So far it's mostly 211 and 212 and some 215.

Virginia appears to be 3xxxxxx --

* 310xxxx Alexandria (York PA is using this range also)

* 318xxxx Fairfax....

* 324xxxx Loudon

* 325xxxx Loudon

* 326xxxx Loudon

Some of the oddballs --

1000xxx IDs are present on both Maryland Aviation (BWI) and Prince George County (dispatchers) -- on the other hand, these are dispatcher consoles -- not much risk they'll be crossing into a neighboring jurisdiction on a response....

Several IDs of 129999x have been heard testing on Maryland FiRST - unknown users at this time.

Obviously there's more to learn and confirm but you can see the pattern....

==Maryland FiRST Radio IDs (RIDs)==

RIDs identified using PSR-800: Labels include agency and unit number, organized by sequential numeric RID.

This list will be drawn-down for agencies that do not carry vehicle-specific portable radios, as there tend to be no consistent unit IDs for those agencies (Maryland State agency IDs tend to be vehicle plate numbers). Sequence/badge IDs will not be included in the event they issue take-home radios.

'''A list of all radio ID ranges in the State of Maryland can be found [[Maryland Statewide Trunking Interoperability|here]].'''

MdTAP Patrol Division issues take-home portables (2116600-2117251): these are being drawn down as they are confirmed. MdTAP mobile radios have been recorded in the 2117600-2117900 series.

MdTAP Special Operations units (SOD, K9, CV) appear to have assigned/take-home vehicles. Thus, portable IDs will match vehicle/post numbers.

MdTA Unit Prefixes as follows:

*K = KEY Bridge Detachment

*P = PORT of Baltimore Detachment

*T = FMT McHenry and Harbor Tunnel Detachment

*L = WP Lane BAY Bridge Detachment

*CV = Commercial Vehicles Unit

*TC = Tunnel Command (Vehicle Plate Designations for FMT)

*HQ = Headquarters

*K9[#] = K9 Units

*SOD = Special Operations Division

*MRN = Marine Unit

*MTR = Motor(cycle) Unit

'''Maryland State Police, Barrack M (I-95 JFK Highway)'''

Barrack M of the Maryland State Police patrols the I-95 corridor from the Baltimore City line (mile 60.5) to the Delaware line (mile 109) on lease from the Maryland Transportation Administration, which owns and administers the roadway. MSP trooper radio IDs are the same as their assigned vehicle plates: therefore portables are ID-specific and are listed here. Portables are believed to be in the 2124xxx range, with mobiles in the 2128xxx range.
