Upper-tier Municipalities

The Regional Municipality of Halton, or Halton Region is an upper-tier municipality under Ontario law. For Radio Reference and certain Uniden radio purposes, the term "county" is used. The region consists of four Lower-tier municipalities: the City of Burlington; and the Towns of Oakville, Milton, and Halton Hills.
