General Information

The system is utilized by all but a very few Jackson County Public Safety and Services agencies. The Ocean Springs Public Works Department, and Schools are two that are not presently on the system.

The following agencies use Motorola ASTRO IMBE digital mode for primary communications, but do have, and occasionally use, their original analog talkgroups.

  • Jackson County Sheriff's Department
  • Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Gautier Campus Police
  • Ocean Springs Police Department
  • Pascagoula Police Department
  • Moss Point School District Campus Police
  • Ocean Springs School District Campus Police (buses still use conventional UHF)
  • Pascagoula School District School Bus Operations. (includes Gautier Schools)
  • Singing River Hospital System Emergency Room Security (Ocean Springs and Pascagoula)

At this time all other agencies use analog only talkgroups.

Mutual Aid / Interoperability

  • At least one MA talkgroup patch with the Mobile County, AL EDACS System.
  • Lifeflight 2 with Acadian Ambulance and County Fire talkgroups.
  • Seven Hills, AL VFD has access to the Forts Lake/Franklin Creek talkgroup.
  • Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge Fire Department.
  • Keesler AFB Medical Center has access to the county EOC talkgroups

  • 11xx - West Jackson County VFD
  • 12xx - Escatawpa VFD

Radio ID Blocks by Agency (I-Calls)

The regular users of the "private call" (PC) feature are the digital agencies listed below and Acadian Ambulance. This is what is referred to as "I-Call" by Uniden.
