Radios are shipped with FRS/GMRS frequencies preprogrammed. With proper software and cable these radios are capable of conventional frequencies.

To change banks from A to B - Hold the PTT and the Monitor button, power on and continue to hold those two buttons. When you see the LED light up as orange then release both buttons. Then press the PTT once, then it will turn red and it will give off two beeps, then press the PTT, (two beeps for Bank B, one beep for Bank A). After you select which bank you want, let the radio set until it gives another beep and then power it off and back on.

Only downfall is that this radio does not scan
