The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) is a water, electric and wastewater utility provider in Central Texas. Besides providing utility services, LCRA provides waterway management for the Highland Lakes of Central Texas (Buchanan, Inks, LBJ, Marble Falls, Travis and Lake Austin) and a 900MHz EDACS Standard trunked radio system.

The LCRA TRS is currently comprised of 49 sites throughout Central and South Texas.

LCRA is looking to implement a 700MHz overlay to its existing 900MHz system (SCIP p.28) and in conjunction with a 700MHz overlay of the San Antonio EDACS TRS, will provide for interoperable communications with San Antonio, TX. The overlay will utilize the existing sites and provide three (3) 700MHz RF channels at each site (SCIP p. 83).
