County Police - Codes / Signals

As of July 11, 2016, MCSO is using "plain language" during transmissions instead of signals/codes. This is to comply with "NIMS" (National Incident Management System, Multi Agency). Since everyone's "codes" are different among agencies, changing to "plain language" will eliminate misinterpreted codes during Multi Agency Events. The codes will be intermittently heard while units are adapting to not using them.

County Police - Unit Numbers

As of September 19, 2016, MCSO started converting to the Austintown/Boardman P25 Digital System. This Wiki section will only address the agencies on the P25 system that were formerly dispatched my MCSO. Please see the Austintown Boardman Joint Radio System page for all other system information.

West Channel & MSCO traffic will be handled by Austintown Dispatchers, East/South traffic will be handled by Boardman Dispatchers. MSCO Unit numbers will remain the same.
