   3xx = 3rd Watch (Evenings)
   4xx = Relief Watch
   5xx = Special Assignment
   6xx = Special Assignment

3. The next two digits refer to the assignment as follows:

   1 - 9 = Command Staff
   x10's = Patrol Beats/Districts/Sectors
   x20's = Patrol Beats/Districts/Sectors
   x30's = Patrol Beats/Districts/Sectors

   PT = Montgomery County Probation Transport
   Z = Montgomery County Animal Control

Examples of their unit numbers are: 2-AP-17, 2-PT-12, 2-Z-6

Sheriff Codes and Signals

Many police agencies in Montgomery County have ceased use of the codes and signals
in favor of "clear text", also known as "clear speak" using no codes and signals of
any type. However, several agencies still use them. The disposition codes in the
second section are still used by most agencies, even those now using "clear text".
