HT1000

Basic, very rugged and durable Public Safety radio. Comes in 2, 8, and 16 channel versions on the VHF and UHF bands.

JT1000

Similar to the HT1000, but can have front-key pad programmable key installed so one does not have to have the RSS (Radio Service Software) or the RIB (Radio Interface Box) normally required to program Motorola radios.

MTS Series

MTS2000 - VHF or UHF or 800
MTS8000 - 800
MTS9000 - 900

Higher-end than the HT1000 or JT1000. Add "Flashcode" upgrading for options. To find what options a radio might have, goto the Flashcode Decoder. Typical flashcodes include MDC and trunking (Type II - SmartZone or SmartNet).

Model I - Top display (1 line), 48 channel capable (3 zones)
Model II (B5 or C5) - Front display, 160 channel capable (10 zones), 6 keys on front of radio
Model III (B7 or C7) - Front dispaly, 160 channel capable (10 zones), full DTMF pad on front
