- National Interagency Fire Center/Boise Interagency Fire Center is the primary common fire center frequencies used throughout the country once a fire grows beyond local departments. Typically all communications are routed to the interagency frequencies for coordination of the fire efforts of all forces from jumpers to motors and tankers. Most morning reports reveal the frequencies to be used throughout the day in the fire effort. Typically you will hear a frequency of 168.3500 reffered to as 8.35 or 8-3500 assuming that the listener knows what typical frequencies used.
