   * Alamance - All PD, FD, and EMS with exception of Burlington PD and FD (Guilford System)
   * Alexander
   * Alleghany
   * Anson - EMS and Sheriff on VIPER
   * Ashe
   * Avery
   * Beaufort
   * Bertie - just completed a talk group master plan to move LEO countywide to VIPER
   * Bladen - 100% VIPER
   * Brunswick - moving EMS and LEO first (not moved yet 2/11)
   * Buncombe - EOC has VIPER patch capabilities
   * Burke - EMS, Sheriff, some fire and Morganton DPS coming on
   * Cabarrus
   * Caldwell - all LEO, EMS and Lenoir FD and PD. Some Fire,EMS, & Rescue still VHF.  
   * Camden - Not using VIPER
   * Carteret - Some LE and EMS
   * Caswell - Emergency Services and EMS
   * Catawba--EMS and Sheriff's Office is VIPER, Co Fire, Rescue, and Hickory Fire has capability, useage is mixed VHF/VIPER via patch
   * Chatham
   * Cherokee - Sheriff
   * Chowan - Edenton PD, Sheriff and EMS but not FD
   * Clay
   * Cleveland - own system but all radios have VIPER
   * Columbus
   * Craven - Sheriff has VIPER capabilities, rarely used
   * Cumberland - 100% VIPER although Fayetteville is still on their stand alone system

   * Dare -  own system soon but all portables have VIPER access and pretty hefty talk group plan

   * Durham - Standalone system to many units have VIPER to be able to talk to Wake, Granville and Orange units

  • Keep in mind too that EVERY county and the EBCI have a minimum of 20 radios and a control station in the 911 center. They all have at least six talk groups, LE, FD, EMS, EM, Tac and MutAid
