Orange County Wildland fires in watershed areas (the canyons) are managed on VHF frequencies after initial dispatch. These frequencies are called the "SOLAR Plan" (San Bernardino Co., Orange Co., Los Angeles Co., Anaheim, Riverside C0.) for the North-East county area, and the "PROS Plan" (Pendleton, Riverside Co., Orange Co., San Diego Co.) for the South County area. A command 800 Mhz. frequency may also be added by linkage to the "FireOC" VHF frequency. These frequencies include:

Station numbers are used to identify different departments during mutual aid, on countywide channels, and are used as brevity codes.
Example: Orange County Fire could say "Please request Station 18 to our location." to call for Orange County Sheriff's assistance.

The CCCS is somewhat unique in that while it is a Smartzone system, most of the talkgroups are locked to a given cell. The list below is a guide for most city-specific talkgroup cell assignments, namely SILVER, PINK, GREEN and fire Zone-1.
